"Doktor Kaboom" was the best Artist in Residence program the Dubuque Arts Council has sponsored in my 10 years at Aquin Elementary. The students were thoroughly and constantly engaged. This 3rd grade Science teacher loved the performance and the science. The combination of humor and learning is something we try to do everyday. You remind and encourage us to keep the learning fun. I was substitute teaching today at an elementary show in Dubuque when you came to do a show for us. I, too, have a background and science and consider it the most exhilarating subject! You weren't feeling well today (I was sick, too), but the kids never knew it. I especially appreciated when you mentioned the attitude of respect for your volunteers and for the mention of your recognition of your own gifts that led you to such a wonderful profession. Every minute of the show was meaningful to the kids in one way or another. And, to us teachers, sub or otherwise! Loved it. Thanks.

The field trip to your Irving show was a resounding success!
